www.njcsacertification.org
1-888-FOR-PJJA (1-888-367-7552)

Purpose:
Those seeking certification will learn critical skills and knowledge for effective administrative performance within the juvenile justice system. Emphasis is placed on the development of management and leadership competencies regardless of one’s area of specialization within the system. Students will be able to define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as be able to identify personal strengths and areas of opportunity in terms of the Juvenile Justice Management Competency Model.

As a credentialing process by NJCSA, certification focuses specifically on top-level juvenile justice personnel and serves as an indication of competency in the field of juvenile justice management. Professional Juvenile Justice Administrator (PJJA) will distinguish these administrators as persons who have reached the highest levels of achievement in terms of knowledge and skills related to core competencies.

Administration:
The PJJA program will be administered by the National Juvenile Court Services Association and will be managed by a Certification Committee.
